Visual Experiments 2 : Material
Here I attempted to write using the smoke coming out one end of the batang. I found this to be extremely difficult as the smoke would not always stay on the fabric or simply because there was too little smoke coming out to even start with.
Op-Doc
In my Op-doc, I made a comparison between the lifestyles of the two largest cities in Malaysia namely Penang, and the capital city of Kuala Lumpur. I attempted to show how in one city, people were very much attached to their electronics, and how the other, tend to be more engaged in social interaction.
Due to a lack of time, I was unable to document the people in Kuala Lumpur, which was more or less vital to the video in order to communicate the difference between the two cities clearly. Nonetheless, I had my friends Zach and Zelda discuss about the difference, through expressing their opinions about the two cities.

Statement of Intent
- Ambitions & Goals : To have gained a good understanding of what it means to be a visual communicator, and to have developed my technical capabilities in photography and film, and also to have explored other areas of creative practice.
- Strengths & Weaknesses : I am comfortable with the use of a DSLR camera, but am not yet familiar many of the different lenses in the extensive range of focal lengths.
- Potential Strategies : Utilise the different lenses available in the college whenever the opportunity arises.
- Areas of creative practice which interests me : I would consider myself an enthusiastic photographer and filmmaker.
